Client: YES PREP Charter Schools 

Since 1998, YES Prep Public Schools has redefined what is possible in public education. With over 20,000 college-bound students across 24 campuses, we are a system of high-performing public charter schools proving that students from underserved communities can achieve at the highest academic levels. Our exceptional results demonstrate that better outcomes are not only possible, but also probable, when school systems build a culture of high expectations, and create effective support systems to ensure that student achievement is at the forefront of every decision made.

Our Task Was

Scope: Media Relations, Brand Positioning, Crisis Communications, and Strategic Outreach

Process

We created a communications strategy for YES Prep Public Schools, a nationally recognized leader in higher education access, with the goal of increasing enrollment and strengthening institutional perception.

We repositioned YES Prep from a traditional charter school model to a college-bound institution rooted in both academic excellence and community connection. Drawing on expertise in higher education marketing, media relations, and crisis communications, we developed a targeted, multi-channel strategy designed to increase visibility and reinforce credibility.

Our approach focused on strategic storytelling, targeted media outreach, and narrative reframing, highlighting student success, college readiness, and the organization’s broader impact within the education landscape.

Through these efforts, we secured meaningful press coverage and strengthened YES Prep’s reputation as one of the leading charter school networks in Texas, driving increased awareness and enrollment interest.

Result

The communications strategy resulted in increased media visibility, strengthened institutional positioning, and measurable gains in awareness and enrollment engagement.
