About project
Client: Travelers Insurance
Travelers Insurance has long been committed to strengthening communities through meaningful volunteer work. One of their standout initiatives empowers employees to volunteer their time and skills to remodel or rebuild homes for families in need. These homes are furnished with essential items including food, beds, and furniture, creating a fresh start for those they serve.
Our Task Was
We were tasked with developing a comprehensive public relations and media outreach strategy to amplify the impact of this initiative after Hurricane Ike in Houston, TX. Our scope included coordinating media coverage, training volunteers to share the mission of the program and creating engaging social media campaigns to highlight the project.
Process
By creating a localized, story-driven campaign, we generated a surge in community awareness and participation for the insurance company and for community stories. In total, the program achieved more than $80,000 in media value, including television features, online articles and more.
Result
This initiative not only provided homes with essential items but also strengthened Travelers Insurance’s reputation as a company deeply rooted in community care. The success of this program led to continued volunteer-driven home rebuild projects.
