Some people wait for Summer all year long. Cookouts. Vacations. Romance. Sandals. Open highway. Beach visits and almost anything else you can think of. Others – loathe it. The hot weather. The crowded pool. Long lines at theme parks. Ahh…Summer. There is so much to expect and if you don’t soak it up, it will be gone before you know it.
While it may be too late to lose the 15 pounds you wanted or create abs of steel there’s still time to get your brand in front of the right funders, donors and customers. Here’s how:
Refresh your website – Ditch the photos that have been on your site for longer than six months year. Change up your offerings and switch up your language. You can have the same message, but with a fresher feel.
Add video – No really add video. Whether you are selling corn dogs or shades, people pay attention to videos. In fact, in 2019, which is seven months away, it is projected that 80% yes 80% of the content we will consume will be you guessed it – video. This means giving behind the scenes action, show and tell (how to use a product or service), success stories (share stories of what has happened since people have used your protects) and more.
Support others – We live in a world of me, me, me. In 2016 it was reported that world wide we take 1 million selfies a day. We check our phones a whooping 8 billion times a day. More than 500 million hours of videos are uploaded on Youtube daily. Those stats are real and so are relationships. Attend an event a friend is hosting. Advocate for others. Offer a free gift. Tie your brand to other brands that is doing something cool – for instance raise money or donate to kids going to Summer Camp. Give a $100 scholarship to a college student. Send flowers. Interview someone about their product and post it online.
Focus on HOT days – Holidays usually means money. Time your next event or giveaway to coincide with a Holiday. Memorial Day, Father’s Day and Labor Day are around the corner. Think of ways you can up the ante on an offering and do it.
Create an event – This is a wee bit different from HOT Days, but creating an event for people to have fun is always welcomed. Maybe a ladies night out activity, painting night or group fitness not only refreshes the person but helps them to meet new people and you will be the MVP.
